Christian Centre Groningen - a two wing church.... 

CCG is a medium growing charismatic-evangelical church in the city of Groningen. Contemporary in its manner of being a church, but faithful to the confession of the reformation philosophy, the church tries be a place where young and old feels at home and where the assignment 'to be a light for the world', is seriously taken up. We are evangelical, because we believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ indicates the way to show the people how to reach out for God. Charismatic, because we believe in the gifts and the work of the Holy Spirit in our meetings. What binds us together is our love for Jesus Christ and for the people around us.
  
Our church is as a plane with two wings: the one wing is formed by the large meetings on Sunday in which we worship our God and receive teaching on the Word of God. Also other activities as prayer meetings, education evenings etc. are part of this wing. The other wing consists of Small Groups. According to the model of bible book Acts the church has a large number of Small Groups, in which people meet each other midweek at home in a social atmosphere for the increase in relation and advancement of each other's belief.
 
Furthermore the church has activities for all sorts of age groups. During  Alpha-courses people can meet the Christian belief in a relaxed way. In our CCG-café there is a possibility occasionally meeting each other or eating together; because we believe that being a church is not only for building up a relationship with God, but also with each other. For the same reason we are part of an international family of churches, Newfrontiers. Because of our international character each Sunday afternoon we have an English spoken service (at 16.00 hours) for people from different nationalities.
